Welcome to Reunion

The decision to rebrand a small business isn’t an easy one. I don’t even have a small business, really, it’s more of a micro business. For 19 years, with the incredible support of my community, I have patiently built Peninsula Family Acupuncture into a well-respected clinic. I am proud of what I have accomplished under the PFA banner: thousands of people treated, many classes taught, consulting and board service, a book published, and so many connections made to other professionals. PFA has been a reliable workhorse, and the name change in no way diminishes its fine performance.

About a year ago, an idea began to stir in my mind. Perhaps a need. I had evolved so much over my years of treating patients, and I felt a need to bring the branding of the business into greater alignment with my current understanding. When I named Peninsula Family Acupuncture, it was to reflect the “what” of my business. My clinic was established to treat the people of the North Portland peninsula. Reunion reflects the “why” of the clinic. I am here to facilitate the reunion of people with themselves and each other. This is what motivates me every day. With the new name, what’s on the outside will better match what’s on the inside.

When a Douglas fir tree falls in our Cascadian forests, it offers its body to be a nursery for new young trees. All of the nutrients contained within the venerable old one are given as nourishment so the young can renew the forest. I am so grateful to Peninsula Family Acupuncture. All of the wonderful healing energy contained within it provides a perfect foundation for Reunion Acupuncture and Wellness to grow and thrive. This would not be possible without the trust of my patients and community. I am humbled by their support and look forward to another 19 years of service.
